Follow these step by step instructions to translate a website on your phone to a language other than English.
Changing the General language settings on your Iphone:
- Go to settings
- Select General
- Click Language & Region
- Click “Add Language”
- Use the search panel to find and add the language you would like to set for your phone
- Select that language to add it
- A list of all of your languages will appear, select the one that you want to set as your default language
- Your phone will update accordingly

- Click Add a language and then select the language you want to add and the region if necessary.
- After the language you select is added in"Language preference", you can change the language by holding the icon of the language and drag it up to the top of the list.
Choosing the language of a website on your chrome browser:
Chrome is the preferred browser to use on your android or iphone if you would like to change a website or from to a language other than English.
- Open a webpage in chrome.
- Select the menu button at the bottom right of the page indicate by 3 consecutive periods
- Select translate
- Click the gray gear
- Select the language you want to translate to.
- To return to the original language, select the blue translation icon in the upper left corner of the address bar. Select “show original”.
Change the Language of your Safari Browser:
When using Safari, you can change a website to a language other than English.
- Open a website on Safari
- Click the symbol with the two AA to the left of the web address bar at the bottom of your page
- Choose “Translate to Spanish” from the menu
- To return to the original language, click the icon at the left of your address bar that has now turned black with a language icon. Select “view in original”.
