Cohorts provide SUM students with personal mentorship as the leaders of that community pour into their lives through chapel services and personal coaching. Students are also able to serve in the various ministries of the local partnersing site, learning from their leadership and ministry structure.
Students wishing to change their cohort location should live within driving distance of the partnering site or a campus of that main site.
Cohorts may charge a monthly site fee to students transferring to their site. Some cohorts also provide housing for students for a monthly fee. Students wishing to change their cohort location should live within driving distance of the partnering site or a campus of that main site. They should also seek permission of the cohort leadership to transfer to that site and submit a help ticket requesting a cohort transfer. In most cases there will be a waiting period to implement the change as the current cohort leadership is notified of the desired change.
