What is a Cohort?

At SUM Cohorts are learning communities established at partnering sites located in the United States and around the world. Cohorts provide students the opportunity to learn, grow and serve in community.

Cohorts provide students the opportunity to learn, grow and serve in community.

The cohort relationship is mutually beneficial. Students benefit from personal mentorship they receive from leaders at their partnering sites as they are coached along their spiritual formation journey. They also have the opportunity to grow in their theological and practical ministry training in the context of a thriving local community. Our partnering sites benefit from hundreds of hours of ministry service from their students who are able to serve as equipped team members.
