Where can I find important dates and events?

The SUM website contains a calendar of events including academic and enrollment deadlines, holidays, breaks, special events and office closures.

The SUM website contains important dates, deadlines, holidays, breaks and special events. Please refer to that page for the most current information each calendar year. You can expect the calendar on the website to be updated each summer to reflect the dates for the new academic year.

As a general rule, you can expect dates related to the start and end of each term including application and registration deadlines, term drop and withdrawal dates and inter-trimester breaks. Additional special events such as Spiritual Emphasis, Campus Days, 21-day fast, and ECO will be posted on the academic calendar as well as a schedule of all major holidays.

The SUM offices are closed each year for Independence Day in July, Labor Day in September,  Thanksgiving in November, Christmas in December, the New Year’s holiday in January, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day in January, Good Friday in the Spring, and Memorial Day in May.

International students can also find the dates for adjusted daylight savings times in the United States.
